Ever thought of building your own airplane? How about just doing some of the maintenance yourself?

If so, this meetup's for you! Join us on the 9th with Ron and Nancy Walters, and experience through powerpoint the construction of a Glasair. The finished airplane will be on display!

Also, you'll learn about the maintenance that you can perform your own airplane. With the price of fuel escalating, who doesn't want to save a buck or two!

The Hangar is easy to spot and located on North Service Drive. Second Big Hangar after the
gate. There's a picnic table with a grill so we may be grilling for those coming right from work.

Planes flying in should go to "Uniform" row on the west side.

We will have someone hanging out at the security gate to let you in and advise the
tower there might be fly-ins.

    Nancy and I are looking forward to meeting everyone.

Who attended?

    • “ Too bad the weather was not better ”
    • “ I RSVP'd that I would attend. I double-checked the calendar when I first got up. Perfect location...just 3 miles from my home. No way could I miss this one. Then this morning, since I found the power was out a my hangar, and I couldn't work on my plane... I went back home to surprise my wife, by finally installing that new "Whole- house fan" that's been sitting in our garage. After several unscheduled trips to Home Depot, and even more trips up and down through that tiny little hole into the attic, I finally emerged (covered with sweat, drywall dust and furry with insulation). Later as I sat down for dinner on the back deck, wondering if that stupid project would ever be finished...a plane flew over. THEN IT DAWNED ON ME......Meetup Is Tonight!!! A fraction of a second later, it also dawned on me that it was already 8:30. Right now I should be kicking myself. But right now, I'm just too sore and tired. Darryl P.S. Next time I'll bring cookies or something. ”
