Dear Friends of Tampa Bay Aviation and Flying:
There are five major elements to our Club:
1. A Traditional Flying Club - with a specific interest in motorglider aircraft as the club's primary trainers...
2. A Business Flying Club - where club members use club pilots and club aircraft (including helicopters as their business tools... also includes time sharing, buying and selling aircraft...)
3. A Traditional Travel Club (air adventures to The Islands - Cuba when it opens .... different in that members use Club pilots and aircraft and/or charter larger FAR Part 125 jet aircraft....)
4. A Marketing Club (as in Networking the above...)
5. An Annual/January Air Festival of FLIGHT 2014 Air Adventure Club (Tony Jannus' First Commercial Flight - St. Pete Tampa Airboat Line)
Members would join for one of more of the above interests....
See our Club Home at http://www.tbflyingclub.org
This weeks topic is "The Bahamas Trip" and open water navigation. The purpose behind this review is to remind the members of the hazards of flying into an unfamiliar environment, e.g. over open water or mountainous terrain without special training and/or adequate preflight planning and preparation.
As usual, open networking will be between 6:30 and 7:00, with presentation beginning at 7.
