I'm going to be in California for Mother's Day weekend. Last time I was out I flew to San Carlos Airport (KSQL) from my CA base of Concord KCCR) for lunch. This time I'd like to try something different, so I'm thinking Livermore (KLVK) for a late breakfast. The comments in AirNav about Beeb's Sportsbar & Grill (925-455-7070) sound very good, and its right on the field (just ask for parking "At the restaurant").

This is just one idea from someone that knows nothing about California's airports. I'm certainly open to other ideas. Doesn't have to be food either. Let's talk about places to go. Take a look at the calendar of the North East Pilots Group - maybe looking at their calendar will jog some ideas loose:

Ideas for a calendar

Even if Tyler doesn't have time to put this on the calendar we can organize it through the message board. Most importantly - let's talk about it!

Sounds like a nice idea. Not sure about my schedule yet for that weekend. Livermore is not bad. Although, Hollister (KCVH) is a great destination. The Ding A Ling Cafe there is great and there's quite a few warbirds at the airport. Probably more to see in Hollister than LVK.

I'm so sorry we didn't pull a fly in together this past weekend. There are such beautiful places to go out here. Arranging a fly-in's is so simple - just pick a location and get the organizer to put it on the calendar. Anyway, Maryann and I went to both LVK and CVH. Wish we could have met up with y'all.
